Welcome to my digital gallery!

I’ve been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. My creative world includes digital illustration, abstract painting, music, writing, and an endless curiosity for nature’s wonders. This openness has led me on an unexpected path, one that has woven through corporate jobs, barista and bartending work, and ultimately, back to my art.

For years, I hesitated to sell my paintings. I felt deeply attached to them, often seeing them as unfinished or part of a larger unfolding. Over time, I realized that viewing my abstract works together revealed themes and connections I hadn’t initially seen. Now, I’m embracing the leap dedicating my energy to completing and sharing my work with the world, ready to see what life has to offer when I do.

A Journey Through Art & Music

I spent my final three years of high school at Interlochen Arts Academy as a visual arts major. Before that, my creative life was deeply intertwined with music, I grew up in Iowa, where song was both a guiding force and a sanctuary. In times of fear, I instinctively turned to singing; it made me feel safe. Only later did I come to understand the nature of vibration and its power.

When I graduated, I stepped away from visual art for two years, channeling all my creative energy into music. But when I found my way back to painting, something had shifted. Gone were the rigid, academic constraints that demanded a pre-packaged concept before a piece could be made. At Interlochen, I learned that explanations were often more important than the art itself, without a digestible statement, resources and support were withheld. My inability to articulate my work in the expected way led to my senior thesis being “taken away.”

It felt like my world was falling apart, but it wasn’t the first time. Instead of giving up, I created a show of my own. The greatest lessons I learned at Interlochen were often from my connections, peers, and more in-tune teachers or visiting artists. Other students joined in, displaying their rejected works. We had pizza, donuts, coffee; rebellious and raw, it was better than anything I could’ve planned. I’ll never forget my teacher, Amy, telling me she was proud of me.

Mindscapes & Discovery

I create by following inspiration. If I could always put things into words, I would; but often, the deeper truths come through painting. Over time, I’ve realized my works speak to each other, revealing symbols and elements that weren’t obvious at first.

Years after high school, I sat down to paint without a predetermined image or concept— just the desire to let the paint flow. The images emerged on their own. My paintings have lived in different spaces and orientations, bathed in shifting light, revealing new forms to different people. One of my favorite things is when someone points out something I’ve never seen before— a bridge, a vessel, a creature, a pool of water, a face. That’s why I call them “Mindscapes” they invite the viewer to wander, to discover.

This effect is harder to translate through a screen, but I embrace the digital era. Galleries want work presented online, and technology allows more people to experience a facet of what I create. I follow the path and see what happens. The right people will find my work at the right time.

Leaping Into the Unknown

That brings us to now. Through reconnecting with myself and allowing more life in, I left a corporate job of six years in October 2024 and flung myself into the unknown. This website is a space to cultivate connection, to be seen.

At any given time, I’m working on a variety of projects. Right now, pet portraits are a major focus because I love making them, and because they bring genuine joy to others.

A Vision for Life

I believe we exist at a turning point— one where we have the means, the minds, and the technology to reconnect with nature in a way that uplifts all life on Earth. The shift may look chaotic at times, but take a breath. Tune into your present. Tune into your heart. Do the best you can for the people and life around you.

What I’ve earned on my path has brought me to a point of conscious co-creation with the energy of life.

I am grateful to be living in a beautiful city in Colorado with my three dogs and my partner, creating the life I once only imagined.

Thank you for taking the time to explore my world.
